Jack Keane says the United States is applying unprecedented pressure on Iran — and that this strategy could represent a fundamental change in how Washington deals with the Iranian regime.

Speaking about Secretary Scott Bessent’s economic campaign, Keane argues that the objective is no longer simply to force Tehran back to the negotiating table. Instead, the administration appears determined to attack Iran’s ability to generate revenue, move money and sustain the regime itself.

Keane explains why he believes Iran could face extraordinary economic pressure, why another temporary agreement may not be enough, and why President Trump may be unwilling to simply pass the Iran problem to another administration.

The discussion also examines the Strait of Hormuz, Iran’s attacks on commercial tankers, Russia’s support for Tehran and Vladimir Putin’s increasingly difficult position in Ukraine.
