دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور ایالات متحده، شامگاه دوشنبه، ۳۱ فروردین‌ماه، در چهار پیام پی‌در‌پی در شبکه‌ی اجتماعی خود با حمله به توافق حسین باراک أوباما (برجام) با خامنه‌ایِ حذف‌شده نوشت توافقی که او با جمهوری اسلامی در حال مذاکره است بسیار بهتر از برجام خواهد بود. او برجام را بدترین توافق مرتبط با امنیت آمریکا خواند و افزود که آن توافق، مسیر تضمین‌شده‌ای به سوی سلاح هسته‌ای بود. ترامپ اضافه کرد اگر توافقی تحت ریاست‌جمهوری او حاصل شود، صلح، امنیت و ایمنی را نه‌ فقط برای اسرائیل و خاورِ میانه، بلکه برای اروپا، آمریکا و سراسر جهان تضمین خواهد کرد. دونالد ترامپ با لحنی تند برخی رسانه‌های آمریکایی را به باد انتقاد گرفت و گفت این رسانه‌های جعلی و ضد آمریکایی آرزو دارند جمهوری اسلامی پیروز شود، اما این اتفاق نخواهد افتاد، چون من فرمانِ امور را در دست دارم.
