مجتبی واحدی می‌گوید یکی از عوامل مهمی که به تشدید تنش‌ها و در نهایت حمله آمریکا و اسرائیل علیه جمهوری اسلامی انجامید، تهدیدی بوده که به گفته او از سوی عباس عراقچی متوجه «ویتکاف» شده است. به اعتقاد او این نوع پیام‌ها و تهدیدها در فضای پرتنش منطقه، می‌تواند به‌سرعت بهانه‌ای برای افزایش فشارهای نظامی و امنیتی علیه ایران فراهم کند.

او همچنین اشاره می‌کند که در روزهای اخیر بحث بستن تنگه هرمز بسیار مطرح شده، اما بنا بر آنچه گفته می‌شود، سران سپاه اعلام کرده‌اند هدفشان بستن تنگه نیست. بلکه آنها از «اعلام حاکمیت» در این مسیر حیاتی انرژی سخن گفته‌اند؛ مسیری که یکی از مهم‌ترین شریان‌های انتقال نفت در جهان به شمار می‌رود.

به گفته واحدی، همین ابهام‌ها و پیام‌های متناقض درباره تنگه هرمز و سیاست‌های منطقه‌ای، باعث افزایش حساسیت آمریکا و اسرائیل شده است. او معتقد است مجموعه این تحولات، منطقه را وارد مرحله‌ای بسیار حساس و پرریسک کرده که هر تصمیم یا پیام سیاسی می‌تواند پیامدهای گسترده‌ای در سطح بین‌المللی داشته باشد.

IRAN: Day 16 of the Lion’s Roar war, and the campaign is now focused not only on launchers and interceptions, but on systematically dismantling Iran’s regime infrastructure, drone arrays, command centers, and economic lifelines. Yair reports that the Israeli Air Force has carried out nearly 1,500 strike sorties, while Iranian regime infrastructure in western Iran was hit in another broad wave of strikes. In one unusual operation, Israeli aircraft tracked Iranian drone-array soldiers fleeing a storage site and eliminated them in real time.

KHARG ISLAND: The American strike on Kharg Island has turned Iran’s oil lifeline into the center of the war. Kharg is described as vital to Iran’s economic survival, with storage, loading, and export infrastructure that serves as a strategic nerve center for the regime. Even without directly destroying the oil terminals, Yair explains that hitting the island’s military and security envelope sends a message that Washington can squeeze Iran’s economic heart whenever it chooses.

NUCLEAR FRONT: The next battle may be over Iran’s enriched uranium. The report says about 440 to 450 kilograms of uranium enriched to around 60% remain the “holy grail” of the war. Yair explains why physically securing that stockpile would be far more difficult than bombing infrastructure, and why any operation to seize it would likely require control on the ground, engineering support, time, and a much broader military effort than a simple raid.

REGIONAL WAR: Iran’s response continues to spread across the region, including pressure on Gulf states, missiles entering Turkish territory, and a growing threat to Jewish and Israeli targets worldwide. Senior Israeli officials warn of an expanded Iranian terror effort abroad, while Europe is also reacting, with Britain and France reinforcing military assets in the region. Yair also covers claims of military cooperation between Iran, Russia, and China, and what that may mean for the wider war.

NORTH: In Lebanon, the IDF continues what it calls a forward defense battle against Hezbollah, striking launch sites and Radwan force headquarters while preparing forces for a possible broader ground phase. At the same time, diplomatic contacts are reportedly being explored with Lebanon under international mediation, as the northern arena remains volatile and could still become a much larger front.
