تنش‌های منطقه‌ای بار دیگر وارد مرحله تازه‌ای شده است. عربستان سعودی اعلام کرد چند پهپاد پرتاب‌شده از خاک عراق را که تأسیسات نفتی این کشور را هدف گرفته بودند، رهگیری و منهدم کرده است. ریاض گروه‌های مورد حمایت جمهوری اسلامی را مسئول این حملات دانسته و تأکید کرده حق پاسخ در زمان و مکان مناسب را برای خود محفوظ می‌داند. همزمان حوثی‌های یمن نیز مسئولیت حمله موشکی به یک نفتکش سعودی در دریای سرخ را بر عهده گرفتند.
در تحولی دیگر، سنتکام اعلام کرد سپاه پاسداران چند موشک بالستیک از خاک ایران به سوی نیروهای آمریکایی در خاورمیانه شلیک کرده، اما همه موشک‌ها رهگیری شده‌اند. پس از این حمله، دونالد ترامپ با لحنی شدید جمهوری اسلامی را تهدید کرد و گفت آمریکا ضربه بسیار سختی به ایران خواهد زد. همزمان جنگنده‌های آمریکا و عربستان مواضع شبه‌نظامیان مورد حمایت جمهوری اسلامی در عراق را هدف قرار دادند. حشدالشعبی شمار اولیه کشته‌شدگان این حملات را ۲۰ نفر اعلام کرده است.
در خلیج فارس نیز نیروی دریایی سپاه از هدف قرار دادن و متوقف کردن سه نفتکش خبر داد. در همین حال، رویترز گزارش داده جمهوری اسلامی پیشنهاد عمان برای مدیریت مشترک منطقه‌ای تنگه هرمز را رد کرده است.
در حوزه فشارهای سیاسی و نظامی، سنای آمریکا طرحی را به مرحله بعد فرستاده که تحریم‌های مرتبط با ایران را تا سال ۲۰۳۱ تمدید می‌کند. رویترز نیز به نقل از منابع آگاه گزارش داده ایران ممکن است طی چند هفته آینده نخستین محموله از صدها سامانه پدافند هوایی دوش‌پرتاب ساخت چین را دریافت کند؛ گزارشی که پکن آن را رد کرده است.
از سوی دیگر، نیویورک‌تایمز گزارش داده جمهوری اسلامی در واکنش به حمله اوکراین به یک کشتی ایرانی، قصد حمله موشکی به یک بندر اوکراین را داشته اما پس از تلاش‌های دیپلماتیک از این اقدام منصرف شده است.
همزمان تنش تازه‌ای نیز در روابط تهران و کاراکاس شکل گرفته و ونزوئلا سفیر جمهوری اسلامی را در اعتراض به اظهاراتی که «تحقیرآمیز و نامناسب» خوانده، احضار کرده است.
در اسرائیل نیز یک مقام ارشد نیروی هوایی اعلام کرده این کشور دیگر بر مبنای جنگ‌های کوتاه برنامه‌ریزی نمی‌کند و خود را برای درگیری‌های طولانی، از جمله احتمال یک کارزار گسترده علیه جمهوری اسلامی، آماده می‌کند.
در عراق، مقتدی صدر با انتقاد از شبه‌نظامیان حشدالشعبی از آنها خواست عراق را وارد جنگ منطقه‌ای نکنند و همزمان از سپاه پاسداران نیز خواست خاک عراق را هدف قرار ندهد.
این تحولات در حالی ادامه دارد که ترامپ دیدار خود با بنیامین نتانیاهو در کاخ سفید را «بسیار خوب» توصیف کرده و گفته است در این دیدار درباره موضوعات مهم متعددی گفت‌وگو شده است.

Today, there are important updates from the Dobropillia direction.

Here, Russian forces attempting to break through toward Dobropillia are walking into an increasingly devastating Ukrainian kill zone, where even the smallest available shelter has become a deadly trap. Despite months of fighting, Russian troops have failed to establish secure control over Bilytske, forcing commanders to continue sending reinforcements through Rodynske and across exposed approaches.

The Russian goal remains unchanged to push north and west, reach Dobropillia, and establish another foothold from which to expand their offensive beyond Pokrovsk. To accomplish this, Russian assault groups are advancing along two narrow routes extending from Rodynske. These approaches offer limited concealment through vegetation and terrain features, but much of the surrounding landscape consists of exposed fields, and that is precisely where Ukrainian drone operators have established their ambushes.
                  
Ukrainian reconnaissance drones continuously monitor Russian movement, while FPV operators wait for soldiers to emerge from cover. Small infiltration groups attempting to cross the open ground become vulnerable long before they reach the frontline, with the resulting casualties being enormous. During September alone, Ukraine’s Lubart Brigade, operating within the Azov Corps, reported killing three-hundred-and-sixty-one Russian soldiers and wounding another two-hundred-twenty-nine along these approaches near Rodynske.

But one location illustrates the brutality of the fighting, as Russian soldiers wounded during these attacks frequently receive no assistance or evacuation. Those capable of moving desperately search for shelter, yet the surrounding fields provide almost nowhere to hide.

One of the few available structures is a narrow funnel beneath a railway embankment, and the Russians try reaching it, hoping the concrete structure will protect them. Instead, Ukrainian operators recognized the predictable movement pattern and began monitoring the passage itself, with FPV drones positioned to intercept Russians approaching the shelter, turning what appeared to be a refuge into another deadly ambush.

Repeated Russian attempts to use the same route have reportedly left dozens of bodies around the railway crossing, with Ukrainian footage showing casualties scattered along the approaches, marking the path of successive infiltration groups, leading to the railway passage being turned into a death funnel. Yet Russian commanders continue sending additional soldiers through the surrounding fields and into it, because alternative approaches offer even little protection.

This reflects the broader failure of Russia’s offensive north of Pokrovsk, because since capturing the city in February, Russian forces have attempted to exploit this by advancing toward Dobropillia. However, Ukrainian drone defenses have reduced their progress to a costly struggle for individual positions, with nearly twenty thousand killed and more than ten thousand wounded Russians in the sector since the capture. Territorial progress has been considerably less impressive, with Russian military commentators describing advances measured in mere tens of meters.

However, time is becoming another enemy now, as the Russian commanders need to reach Dobropillia before autumn rains transform the surrounding fields into deep mud. Infiltration groups already struggling across exposed terrain would become slower, before the incoming winter introduces additional difficulties, including freezing temperatures, reduced vegetation, and even limited opportunities for concealment. Capturing Dobropillia would provide buildings, basements, and hardened positions where Russian troops could shelter, consolidate, and prepare further operations, but reaching those positions requires surviving the Ukrainian drone defenses first.

Overall, despite sacrificing thousands of soldiers along the approaches to Dobropillia, Russian forces remain unable to securely control even Bilytske or establish a substantial foothold on Dobropillia’s outskirts. The worsening weather therefore threatens to expose the limits of Russia’s capabilities beyond Pokrovsk: the Russian army captured the city, but its troops are still paying an extraordinary price simply trying to advance beyond it.

Today, the biggest news comes from the Russian Federation.

Here, Ukraine’s Navy reported that it struck the Russian frigate Admiral Essen in the port of Novorossiysk with a Neptune missile. The Admiral Essen is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles, which Russia uses to launch long range strikes against targets in Ukraine. The same operation also hit two other Kalibr missile carriers, a Buyan M class corvette and the frigate Admiral Makarov, with the Makarov suffering damage to its port side. These attacks come after Ukraine had already targeted both frigates in August, demonstrating that the Russian Black Sea Fleet is facing repeated attacks. According to the Ukrainian Navy, the purpose of these operations is to systematically degrade the Russian fleet’s ability to conduct combat operations, particularly its capacity to launch missiles against Ukraine. The naval strikes are also part of a much broader Ukrainian campaign aimed at destroying the platforms Russia relies on to attack Ukrainian cities. 

This strategy was demonstrated again in an earlier operation during which Ukrainian drones travelled eight hundred kilometers to reach Engels airbase, where they struck a Russian Tu ninety five strategic bomber. Satellite imagery captured the aftermath of the kamikaze drone attack, indicating that the aircraft was destroyed in the strike. Another Tu ninety five that had been damaged in an earlier Ukrainian strike was also visible at the airbase, proving the growing success of these strikes. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that SBU Alpha special forces carried out the operation against the bomber, which also serves as a carrier for Russia’s long range cruise missiles. These bombers are particularly important targets because they can launch cruise missiles from hundreds of kilometers away, allowing them to attack Ukrainian cities while remaining far outside the range of Ukrainian air defense systems. By reaching the aircraft while they are still on the ground, Ukraine can therefore bypass that distance advantage and directly attack one of the platforms Russia depends on for its long range missile campaign.

To further complement these strikes, Ukrainian forces also targeted an Iskander M ballistic missile launcher on Russian territory near the Ukrainian border. The targeted position was used to launch Iskander and Zircon missiles towards Ukraine, making it a particularly important target for Ukraine. Unlike fixed missile installations, these launchers can rapidly relocate along Russia’s road network and change firing positions, making them much harder to detect and destroy. Successfully locating and striking one therefore demonstrates that Ukraine can reach Russia’s mobile missile forces despite their ability to relocate and change firing positions.

This strategy is becoming increasingly important because Ukraine cannot afford to rely solely on intercepting incoming missiles, which requires expensive interceptors available only in limited quantities. By attacking the platforms that launch missiles instead, Ukraine can prevent attacks before they begin. Destroying a bomber, damaging a warship, or eliminating a mobile missile launcher not only removes an immediate threat, but can also reduce Russia’s ability to carry out repeated strikes and ease the enormous pressure placed on Ukraine’s air defense network. According to Bloomberg, Putin is considering heavier ballistic missile strikes against Kyiv, aiming to eventually launch as many as two hundred missiles in a single attack. Russia is currently capable of launching around seventy seven missiles simultaneously, meaning that Moscow is seeking to dramatically increase the number of missiles it can fire. This is why Ukraine’s strategy of hunting down the launch platforms themselves is becoming increasingly significant. 

Overall, Ukraine is trying to change the economics of the missile war, which Russia uses to destroy Ukrainian cities. Russia can manufacture and launch more weapons, but losses reduce available launch capacity and complicate preparations. If Ukraine can repeatedly force Russia to hide or relocate its strike systems, Moscow’s missile arsenal becomes less useful. The real objective is therefore not simply interception, but making Russia’s long range strikes difficult to sustain.

TUPAC TRIAL LIVE: Watch Day 7 of the trial of Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who is accused of orchestrating the 1996 drive-by shooting of Tupac Shakur, live from Las Vegas court. Davis is charged with murder with the use of a deadly weapon with intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang.

The trial is expected to last about a month. Prosecutors accuse Davis of ordering the fatal shooting as retaliation for a brawl that broke out on a casino floor shortly before Shakur was killed. Authorities have also pointed to comments Davis made in several media interviews as evidence of his alleged involvement in the killing.

Among the 200 potential witnesses in the case are some notable names, including:
Marion "Suge" Knight - Former Death Row Records CEO who was in the car when Shakur was shot
Former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman
Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo, who served in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at the time of the murder
Former LAPD Detective Greg Kading, who claims Davis confessed to his involvement during a 2009 interview with law enforcement
Yusef Jah, the ghostwriter for Davis in his memoir
