گزارش: تحصن یک هفته ای فعالان کارزار علیه اعدام د رلندن در مرکز این شهر میدان ترالفگار از روز شنیه آغاز شده است. گزارشی که ملاحظه میکنید گزارشی است که رفقا صحرا و رضا اخگر تهیه کرده اند. این در شرایطی است که مقاومت زندانیان ، رژیم وماشین آدمخوار آنرا یک گام به عقب رانده است . یک گام موفقیت‌آمیزِ کارزار «نه به اعدام» در نودمین هفته کارزار علیه اعدام وششمین روز روز اعتصاب ۱۵۰۰ زندانی ، رژیم را واداشت که برای شش ماه اعدامها را متوقف کند.
روز یکشنبه ۲۷ مهر ۱۴۰۴، اعتصاب غذای گسترده زندانیان زندان #قزل‌حصار کرج که در اعتراض به موج بی‌سابقه اعدام‌ها در ایران آغاز شده بود، پس از شش روز پایان یافت. اعدام‌کنندگان ظاهراً عقب‌نشینی کرده‌اند. کارزار «نه به اعدام» گسترش بیشتری یافته است. این کارزار که «سه‌شنبه‌های نه به اعدام» فراز مهمی از آن است، با اعتصاب غذای زندانیان در زندان قزل‌حصار یک گام مهم دیگر برداشت. اعتصاب غذا از ظهر دوشنبه ۲۱ مهرماه با انتقال ۱۶ زندانی به سلول‌های انفرادی برای اجرای حکم اعدام شروع آغاز شد. اعتراض به سرعت در درون زندان گسترش یافت، خبر آن به بیرون منتقل شد و انعکاس وسیعی پیدا کرد. خانواده‌های زندانیان نیز به اعتراض پیوستند. آنان در مقابل زندان قزل‌حصار و همچنین مجلس اجتماع کردند و خواهان توقف فوری اجرای احکام شدند.

This morning, Ukraine has struck and destroyed several Russian warships at the major naval port of Novorossisyk and absolutely devastated surrounding Russian defenses in some of the worst attack aftermath seen so far in the war. Meanwhile, Ukraine also launched an unprecedented strike on Russia reaching over 3,000km into Russia’s desolate Siberia region — as it appears a critical gas facility was likely destroyed in the attack. Meanwhile, Russian frontline forces have begun panicking as Ukrainian forces continue to push a major breakthrough on the Lyman front, and it appears the Russians are getting steamrolled at the moment. And we also have bombshell news from Iran, that new activity has been detected at the notorious Pickaxe mountain nuclear site that indicates Iran may have restarted nefarious research in the mountain.

Iran and the US are testing to see who will go further

Pretty significant strikes carried out yesterday between the US and Iran showing that we are, once again, in a spiral of escalation with some analysts warning that we’re on a path to return to full scale war.

Looks like Iran fired missiles at US warships. The US responded by striking five Iranian oil tankers and then Iran fired 20 ballistic missiles at a US base in Jordan.

Iran's revolutionary guard is claiming it fired ballistic missiles at a US  military base in Jordan and attacked 10 ships. The strikes coming after the US said it had destroyed five Iranian oil tankers as the war continues to escalate. Meanwhile the US says that the Iranian attacks were intercepted and no one was injured.

David Hookstead talks about Iran racing to build a nuke with increased production at Pickaxe Mountain. There are also reports Iran has gone on full high alert following its massive attack on U.S. forces in Jordan and the United States sinking multiple oil tankers. Saudi Arabia has seen major explosions and fires at the Jazan oil port- one of the largest in the country- and other key sites after the Houthis conducted a ballistic missile strike overnight comprising dozens of missiles. Saudi Arabia has stated that 73 people were wounded as a result of the strike and are now vowing to take extreme offensive measures to crush the Houthi menace. Meanwhile the IRGC has shot down another US drone in the Strait of Hormuz this morning, and has claimed to have captured a Unmanned Submersible Vehicle as well. Meanwhile NATO has suffered another airspace violation at the hands of Russian drone forces, with a drone flying all the way through Moldova, into Romania for a significant time, and then back into Moldova where it then exploded. Romania also uncovered a plot to attempt an attack on a Romanian airfield by Russian Intelligence in a very similar form to the Leipzig attack conducted earlier this year in Germany. Germany also pledged more support for Ukraine's Patriot in the form of more Pac-2 missiles. Ukraine also targeted and hit the Russian Saratov refinery causing an explosion and fire.

After the Trump-Putin call and a full day of statements from Moscow, NATO, Germany, Ukraine, and the United States, the direction of this war is becoming harder to ignore: serious officials are now openly preparing for a conflict that could continue for months—and potentially years.

In this update, I break down Yuri Ushakov’s account of the Trump-Putin conversation, Dmitry Peskov’s insistence that Russia still intends to achieve the goals of its so-called “special military operation,” and Moscow’s apparent belief that winter pressure could weaken Ukraine. At the same time, Britain and Germany are moving additional air-defense support toward Ukraine as Russia intensifies attacks on critical infrastructure.

Germany’s Boris Pistorius warns that Russian air raids could increase as temperatures fall. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte calls on allies to dig deeper, while U.S. Undersecretary Elbridge Colby delivers one of the clearest statements of the day: the West must be prepared for a protracted conflict and for Ukraine’s requirements to continue for months and years ahead.

We also look at Ukraine’s battlefield situation, the growing importance of drones, and the wider strategic pressure on global air-defense supplies as Iran launches another major missile barrage in the Middle East.

Looks like the Yemen Civil War is back to full scale fighting as the Houthis kicked off an offensive in the south and launched missiles into Saudi Arabia leading the Yemeni government to counterattack saying they plan to wipe out the Houthis once and for all.

Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner went to Moscow for more than three hours of talks with Vladimir Putin—and what happened inside the Kremlin raises serious questions about how the Trump administration’s envoys are approaching Russia and the war against Ukraine.

In this update, I break down Witkoff’s extraordinary opening remarks to Putin, including a translation nuance that quickly drew attention in Russian media. I also examine Yuri Ushakov’s account of the closed-door meeting and dinner, where Putin presented the Russian version of the battlefield, repeated Moscow’s demand to address the so-called “root causes” of the war, and pushed propaganda claims about Ukraine.

The talks also went beyond Ukraine. According to the Russian account, the two sides discussed potential large-scale Russian-American economic projects. Witkoff and Kushner then left Moscow for Kyiv, where they are expected to meet Ukrainian leaders and hear directly about the reality of Russia’s war.

The central question now is whether Ukraine can challenge the narrative these American envoys heard in Moscow—and whether their visit to Kyiv changes how they understand Putin’s demands and Russia’s conduct of the war.

Tanks are still useful on the modern battlefield. I know that’ll get some folks fired up but look, when you talk to the people actually fighting the war, they want more tanks. That should be a pretty good sign.
But also, we’re not seeing tanks scrapped, but rather technical and tactical adaptations emerge to keep them in the fight, at least for now.
