I examine the stark contrast between Ukraine’s limited overnight strikes on Russian military targets and Russia’s large-scale barrage across Ukraine. Ukrainian forces reportedly struck Kasta and P-18 radar systems, an attack-UAV launch site, artillery, and vehicles—targets that support Russian battlefield surveillance and drone operations. RYBAR ARRESTED! I examine the reported detention in Montenegro of Mikhail Zvinchuk, the founder of the pro-war Russian military-blogger network Rybar, along with his wife and three associates. Rybar often supports Russia’s war aims while reporting battlefield weaknesses that the Russian Defense Ministry downplays, including Ukrainian strikes on supply routes serving occupied Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Crimea.

I look at why this case could become a political tug-of-war. Zvinchuk is under UK and EU sanctions and is on a U.S. wanted list tied to alleged election interference.
